CELEBRATE INDIVIDUALITY! 🙃

There was a boy named Michael Schwing,
Who did not, would not read a thing!
His parents gave him heaps of books,
And begged him to ‘just have a look’.

No matter how much they did plead,
He curtly would refuse to read.
Till one day, whilst out with his Mum,
He passed a shop called ‘Books are Fun’,

And just then something strange occurred,
The small lad stopped and then he stared.

His wide eyes gleamed, as through the glass,
Was a picture of a pirate-ship with a mast,
On the cover of a book titled Treasure Island.

Young Michael grew abnormally silent,
Then burst out, “Can I have that book please, Mum?
It looks an awful lot of fun!

Stunned, his mother bought it straight away,
And it was read within a day.
From then on, till the present time,
Michael finds reading ‘just sublime’.

He keeps his books in a wooden chest,
And feels that he is very blessed,
To discover that he loves to read.
You see, Treasure Island was the seed.

His interests were beyond that door,
He found his, now find go find yours…🚀
